I don't own these but I have the 7x and 7+ headsets (both with dongles) and I'm able to walk around my house (using the bathroom/getting a snack) with minimal interference.

The difference is chat mix. 7x means no chat mix on ps5 and 7p means no chat mix on xbox. 7x can be use on pc as well. Not sure about 7p

We just recently downloaded the app on his computer… he said there was definite improvement in sound. Not a lot… but improvement nonetheless. He said they didn't sound bad before the app and would've been just as happy never having discovered the app.
